QUALIFICATIONS:  Required - Stenographer/Voice Writer Court Reporter: Candidates must meet one of three minimum professional standards to be considered eligible for hire: (1) Graduation from a court reporting school approved by either the National Court Reporters Association (NCRA) or the National Verbatim Reporters Association (NVRA), or (2) Successful completion of the Registered Professional Reporter (RPR) examination administered by the NCRA, or (3) Successful completion of the Certified Verbatim Reporter (CVR) examination administered by the NVRA.

District Court Reporter – Fifth Judicial Administrative District

This full-time position is based in Madison or Janesville, WI and entails travel to assignments in the following counties:  Columbia, Dane, Rock, Green, Lafayette and Sauk. The home office may be changed to another 5th District city with the prior approval of the Chief Judge.

The home office based in Oshkosh may be changed to another 4th District city with the prior approval of the Chief Judge.

This part-time position provides Court Reporter leave coverage to all 9th Judicial District counties and may travel to the following Wisconsin counties:  Florence, Forest, Iron, Langlade, Lincoln, Marathon, Menominee, Oneida, Portage, Price, Shawano, Taylor, Wood and Vilas.  The District Nine office is based in Wausau, WI but the home-base for the selected candidate may be changed to another city with the prior approval of the Chief Judge.
